Cumbria Fingering is inspired by England’s stunning northwest region with its deep blue lakes and sheep-grazed fells and valleys. It is a fingering weight yarn from a blend of fine Merino, wool from the English Masham sheep breed and Argentinian mohair. The Merino adds softness, the Masham allows for a beautiful heathered palette and the mohair creates strength and lustre. Fabrics knit from Cumbria are perfect for lighter weight garments. Many of the shades in Cumbria use a base with natural brown Masham wool, which when overdyed, allows for beautifully deep saturated tones.
